Ebola WAS and still could be very dangerous threat to the entire world but prompt action has somewhat diminished the threat and it seems to be getting under control.

Google England has produced special tablets which can be washed in disinfectant solutions - greatly improving communication between doctors and caregivers.

As of the 18th, Guinea has 2988 confirmed Ebola cases and 1846 deaths.
Sierra Leone has 8508 confirmed cases and 3346 deaths.
as of the 17th Liberia, with poor reporting has 3150 confirmed cases and nearly 1900 probable cases. Other countries have only a few hundred probable cases.
For all countries there have been 24,753 Ebola cases with 50% mortality of 10,236 deaths.
Bad, but worst case predictions would have meant nearly 500,000 cases by now if major action hadn't been taken to mitigate the situation.
